1 # Recommanded Media 2 3 This is a simple list of media I like and recommend to other humans, covering a variety of different areas. 4 5 ## Linux 6 7 * [SomeOrdinaryGamers (Mutahar)](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=some+ordinary+gamers+linux) - Mutahar was the person who first got me into Linux, so I feel somewhat indebted to him for that. I'd tried it before but never as a main OS. Linux Mint was what I started with. 8 * [DistroTube](https://www.youtube.com/@DistroTube) - The YouTuber who convinced me to try tiling window managers/more commandline based tools 9 * [Luke Smith](https://www.youtube.com/@LukeSmithxyz) - Kickstarted my intrest in very minimalist tools (st, dmenu etc). A bit of a controversial person but his Linux content is very informative in my opinion. Especially his vim tutorials 10 * [Bread on Penguins](https://www.youtube.com/@BreadOnPenguins) - A more recent Linux-tuber, similar in content to Luke Smith and DistroTube 11 12 ## Gaming 13 14 * [NerdCubed](https://www.youtube.com/@NerdCubed) - The best gaming YouTuber, been posting for over a decade 15 * [Scott The Woz](https://www.youtube.com/@NerdCubed) - Least crazy man in Ohio 16 * [ilmango](https://www.youtube.com/@ilmango/videos) - The best in technical Minecraft, doesn't really post anymore 17 18 ## Other YouTubers 19 20 * [Spindatt](https://www.youtube.com/@Spindatt) - Cool bike builds 21 * [Nicholas Garafola](https://www.youtube.com/@NicholasGarofola) - A minimalist who doesn't over-spend on "minimalist" products 22 * [PBS Space Time](https://www.youtube.com/@ilmango/videos) - Good space science videos 23 24 ## Fiction 25 26 ### TV Shows 27 28 * The Vampire Diaries/The Originals/Legacies - This show gets a lot of smoke and some of it is deserved, but if you like vampire stuff this is an amazing franchise to get in to. 29 * NCIS (the original) - Best "generic" crime/police drama series, at least until Season 19 30 * The West Wing - Politics yay 31 32 ## Anti-Recommendations 33 34 * The X-Files - Dissapointing overall story with a totally "meh" ending. Does not live up to it's potential. Glad I skim-watched it by only watching plot relevant episodes
